The Tax Stamp Programmes List

Navigate to Browse Data > Tax Stamp Programmes to see every programme on file in a paginated, filterable table. Each row typically shows the country, excise authority, product type, programme name, start year, and current status.

Programme Status Toggle

Above the filter panel, a row of pill-shaped buttons lets you switch between programme statuses. Only statuses currently assigned to at least one programme appear here — typically Active and Discontinued. Clicking a button reloads the page immediately with that status applied; there's no need to click Apply.

  • Default view — The list opens showing Active programmes only.
  • Multi-select — Click a second status to show both at once (e.g. Active and Discontinued); selected statuses combine with OR logic.
  • Always one selected — You can't switch off the last remaining status by clicking it again — toggle a different status on first if you want to move away from it.

The Filter Panel

The filter panel on this page lets you narrow the list by a wide range of criteria at once:

  • Region / Country / Excise Authority — Geographic and organisational filters
  • Product Type — e.g. Cigarettes, Other Tobacco Products, Beer, Spirits, Wine, Cannabis, Petroleum
  • Has Tax Stamp Programme — Whether the authority/product combination actually runs a stamp programme
  • Specification Start / End Year — Narrow by when a specification was introduced or retired
  • Main Supplier — The company supplying the stamps
  • Stamp Type / Adhesion Method / Substrate Type — Physical characteristics of the stamp
  • Printing Methods and Security Features (overt and semi-covert) — Technical and security characteristics
  • Authentication Tools, Variable Data Type, Machine-Readable Formats, and Main Functions — Coding and functionality characteristics
  • Search — Free-text search across programme fields

Cascading, Live Filters

Filters update dynamically as you make selections — when you change one filter, both the results table and the available options in the other filters refresh automatically to reflect only relevant combinations. For example, selecting a region narrows the country dropdown, and selecting a country narrows the excise authority dropdown, without a full page reload. Note that the Programme Status toggle above the panel works independently of this — clicking it reloads the page right away rather than just updating counts.

Any / All Matching

For filters where you can select multiple values (such as security features or printing methods), an Any/All toggle lets you choose whether a programme must match at least one selected value (Any) or every selected value (All).

Combining Filters

All filters can be combined freely — for example, active cigarette programmes in a specific region using a particular substrate type. Results are paginated at the bottom of the table.
